William B. Large

Mr. William “Bill” Large is Berkeley Academy’s Head of School.

He received his bachelors and masters degree from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a specific emphasis in elementary education and teaching. He has more than 25 years of experience in administrative leadership roles, most recently as the General Director at the Jaim Weizman School and 22 years as the Principal at Country Day School of Costa Rica.  Mr. Large currently manages Berkeley Academy’s staff and faculty, along with the entire student population.  As a revolutionary figure in Costa Rican private education, Mr. Large has cultivated a culture of humanitarianism, excellence and prestige that aligns with Berkeley Academy’s vision for the future.

He speaks both English and Spanish fluently and has five dogs.
